Nutrition programs, services and counseling are available from The Houstonian Club's registered, licensed dietitian, Denise Hernandez, M.S.,R.D., L.D. Her specialties include weight management, sports nutrition, diabetes, eating disorders, heart disease, and pediatric nutrition.

Denise has experience working with children and adults and enjoys finding creative ways to coach her clients through their nutritional goals. She provides nutrition counseling, diet analysis, meal planning and food shopping education.
"Proper nutrition is vital for sustaining a healthy lifestyle," Denise said. "Fueling your body with the right foods will enhance your ability to live longer, stay active and feel great every day!" Denise added that helping clients achieve their desired results is the reason why she pursued a career in nutrition.
Prior to joining The Houstonian Club, Denise served as Corporate Dietitian for My Fit Foods, where she served as the company’s nutrition and wellness expert. She has published articles and educational materials, and presents lectures on various topics of health and wellness. She currently is acquiring the Certified Specialist certification in Sports Dietetics, and is an active member of the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition dietetic practice group and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Denise received her Bachelor's Degree in Biological and Physical Sciences from the University of Houston Downtown and went on to receive a Master's Degree in Nutrition from Texas Women's University.
