Youth Aquatics Programs:

Aquatics Registration Forms
Please note: to register for any of the courses listed below, please go to Online Services (at the top of this webpage) and select the programs you wish to register for.

Please follow these easy steps to register your child for swim programs:

1.) Go to www.myhoustonian.com
2.) Type in your Houstonian Username & Password
3.) Choose Online Services
4.) Select Programs 

5.) Select Aquatics                                                                                                                                                                                      
6.) Select the program you want to sign up for
7.) Select Add to Cart for each of the classes you would like to register for
a. If children are not on the membership, please speak to Membership Sales
b. You will not be able to register them until they're on the membership
7.) Check box of child you would like to attend

2016 Youth Swim Program Guide

Registrations for Group Lessons, BlueFins Pre-Season(April), BlueFins Swim Team (May - June), AquaEdge Clinics, Otters and Dolphins must be completed online at www.myhoustonian.com.

Aquatots I is for beginners ages 12 to 23 months (or first water experience) and their parents. Teaches water acclimation, class structure, safety, entering  & exiting pool, getting face wet, blowing bubbles and kicking. Every child MUST have an adult in the water with them


 

Aquatots II is for children ages 24 to 36 months and their parents. Teaches water skills - class structure, safety,  jumping in pool, blowing bubbles, floating, and arm and leg movements. Every child MUST have an adult in the water with them.

Registrations begin in January. Aquatots Rules and Risks 

Angelfish - Beginner 1 - ages 30 to 48 months, Limited to two students per group. The small setting ideal first timers, and those in transition from a parent-child class.  Skills include: Putting face in water, blowing bubbles, floating, kicking, beginning arm movement, and water safety. Angel Fish Classes are offered April thru August.  Angelfish Rules and Risks

Starfish - Beginner 2 - 
ages 3 to 4. limited to 4 swimmers per group. Skills include: Putting face in water, blowing bubbles (rhythmic), floating, kicking, beginning arm strokes, gliding and water safety. Star Fish classes are offered April thru August.  Registrations begin in January.  Starfish Rules and Risks

Seahorses Intermediate 1 are for the more advanced 3 to 4 year old can submerge face underwater, blow bubbles and move through the water with no assistance.  Skills include; Floating, freestyle, kicking, coordination of arms and legs, backstroke and water safety. who has had some swimming lessons. Skills: Floating, arm strokes, kicking, coordination of arms and legs, gliding, beginning backstroke and water safety.  Sea Horses classes are offered April thru August.  Registrations begin in January.   Seahorses Rules and Risks 

Stingrays Intermediate 2: Ages 4 to 5 years.  Children must be able to submerge face under water, blow bubbles and move through the water without assistance.  Skills include: Floating, arm strokes, kicking, coordination of arms and legs, backstroke and beginning Breaststroke.  Stingrays are offered April thru August. Sea Lions - Advanced
- Ages to 6 years. Children should already swim across the pool unassisted. Skills: Floating, arm strokes, lateral breathing, frog kick, backstroke, beginning dives and water safety. Sea Lions classes are offered May thru August.  Registrations begin in January.   Sea Lions Rules and Standards 

BlueFins Swim Team is a Country Club League swim team for children ages 5 to 14. It meets May through June. (Blue Team: Ages 5-6. Bronze Team: Ages 5 to 7. Silver Team: Ages 7 to 8. Gold Team: Ages 9 to 14.) May - June. BlueFins Rules and Risks

BlueFins Pre-Season
Swim is a one-month stroke technique development and conditioning program that prepares children for the BlueFins Swim Team. Ages 5 to 14. The program meets in April 15. BlueFins Rules and Risks

Dolphins Fitness Swim
is a year round swim program for children ages 7 to 14. The program breaks from April through June so the swimmers may participate in BlueFins Pre-Season and and join BlueFins Swim Team.  Click for Dolphins Rules and Risks  (same as BlueFins Rules and Risks)

AquaEdge Swim Clinics
for kids quickly teaches children the most important techniques for swimming fast and efficiently. Starts, turns and all four competitive strokes are covered. Click here for AquaEdge Rules and Risks (Same as BlueFins Rules and Risks)

Otters Pre-Swim Team will help develop a child's Freestyle and Backstroke ability along with proper balance, timing and starts. Otters breaks for April-June while BlueFins Swim season is active. Click here for Otters Rules and Risks (Same as BlueFins Rules and Risks)
